Abstract

Preserving lineage in Islam is a very important matter, and the wisdom of many of the legal rulings has become known. As a result of the progress in the field of science, new methods of producing the human race have recently appeared, and their increase and spread are often for therapeutic purposes for couples suffering from infertility or couples suffering from harmful fertilization. Then, the use of some scientific methods, such as the use of sperm from a man other than the husband or the use of an egg or uterus other than the wife, has raised controversy about how to diagnose the parents of the child born from them. Living Islamic jurisprudence will be able in such new issues, like all other topics, to provide clear criteria for determining the lineage of the child obtained through these methods by relying on its advanced sources and solid origins. Through the course of the research, we will present the legal criteria for the lineage of the child obtained from artificial insemination.
